Finished reading Touching Lace by Anne Rainey. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. Lacey is a little fireball and what a joy it was to read about her. The chemistry between her and Nick was volatile! When Nick hears that Lacey caught her current boyfriend in the shower with her close friend Christy he does what he's done for over two years, he comes to her rescue. Nick is always there to help her out of her depression. Make her smile, laugh, see her through the rough times. This time Nick wants more than just her smiles and laughter. This time Nick wants Lacey. It's been tearing him up seeing her with other men but what can a guy do when all the woman of his dreams sees is a best buddy? This time Lacey unknowingly gives Nick an opening and he's not about to let it go. Now's his chance to finally get Lacey to see him as a man and not just a buddy. Lacey had no idea Nick desired her. He was her best friend, her buddy, her rock when everything else around her was in turmoil. Suddenly she begins to see Nick in a different light. How could she have missed the signs before? Could there really be something more than just friendship between them? What would happen if she gives in and it doesn't work out? Will she lose her best friend as well? Maybe she'll gain even more!
This was a fun read. It had me laughing throughout. This is the 3rd book of the Vaughn series that I've read and every one has been well worth the time. The brothers and their women have all been amazing characters and you can't help but want to find out more. This is a very good series.
