Under Her Skin -- Anthology

Finished Under Her Skin last night.  This was very nice anthology with Jeaniene Frost, Ilona Andrews and Meljean Brook.

The first story, "Pack" by Jeaniene Frost was very good.  Young woman leaves her friends and gets lost in the forest of Yellowstone National Park.  Suddenly she's being chased by wolves that aren't just wolves. Coming to terms with her new reality is harsh and no easy task. This was a very good story that I enjoyed very much.  **** out of 5 stars

"In Sheep's Clothing" by Meljean Brook was the second story and another very good read.  A werewolf goes home after five years away, back to the man she left behind and ends up the focus of a serial killer. To get her chance at life back she must show the man of her heart what she really is and help him track the serial killer down.  I liked the characters and the way I was drawn into the story almost from the first sentence.  This is another **** out of 5 stars.

"The Grace of Small Magics" by Ilona Andrews was the third story and while I really enjoyed this one I found the ending to be less than satisfactory.  A powerful mage puts his life in the hands of a woman with only small magic ability.  The story was very good and the characters strong and believable but the ending while OK actually felt abrupt and to me seemed to leave out many interesting details that would have made it much more satisfying.  Over all I'll give this one *** out of 5 stars.

This was a very good anthology and definitely one worth getting.  Overall rating **** out of 5 stars.
