Echoes of Betrayal: Paladin's Legacy by Elizabeth Moon

I finished Echoes of Betrayal: Paladin's Legacy by Elizabeth Moon and gave it 4 stars.  I really enjoyed the story here.  All the familiar characters, each growing more with each story and they are really awesome.  I've looked on her blog, the Paksworld web site and I haven't found anything on the next book.  There is just so much happening in this book.  Dorrin, Kieri and Arian, Arvid ... these are only four of the characters involved and yet so much revolves around them.  I don't want to give anything away in this as the way it opens up and how each thread pulls you in deeper and deeper is so intriguing you really need to read each part yourself.

My only complaint is that nothing was resolved. I originally thought this was another trilogy but if it is it left EVERYTHING hanging! Dorrin and the crown, Kieri and the Lady of the Forest ... still nothing resolved. So many open, hanging threads. I'm sure there is more to come but there are no hints anywhere that I can find and that is very frustrating. You get so involved with the story and characters and then .... nothing! ARGH!

HAH!!!!  I've found it!  There, in Elizabeth's blog is a mention of coming books IV & V!!!  YES!  Ok, now I'm really feeling better about this.  I hate feeling lost and strung out.  I've had a few series I was really into end and leave so many unanswered questions and loose ends and not a single word on anything new.  That is sooooo frustrating!  Now I'm feeling so much better.  More to look forward to!!  I'm really looking forward now to the next installment.
The action continues fast and furious in this third installment of Elizabeth Moon’s celebrated return to the fantasy world of the paladin Paksenarrion Dorthansdotter. This award-winning author has firsthand military experience and an imagination that knows no bounds. Combine those qualities with an ability to craft flesh-and-blood characters, and the result is the kind of speculative fiction that engages both heart and mind. All is not well in the Eight Kingdoms. In Lyonya, King Kieri is about to celebrate marriage to his beloved, the half-elf Arian. But uncanny whispers from the spirits of his ancestors continue to warn of treachery and murder.
